Crew call!

LOFT is looking to fill several crew positions for an upcoming project. LOFT is partnering with FSWO (Fire Service Women Ontario) for a film project that aims to encourage, educate, and empower women in the fire service in Ontario. The project would have two components;

  1. A creative short film about women firefighters, with a spotlight on Hamilton Fire Department.
  2. Multiple short video segments promoting the recruitment and role of women firefighters that both FWSO and Hamilton Fire Department can use for promotional purposes (including social media content)

We are looking for a crew to film content for this project during the FSWO 2024 Annual Training Symposium is taking place locally this year (November 7-9, 2024). FSWO will provide access to LOFT to film events at the conference and recruit both female firefighters and male allies from across Ontario for onsite interviews.

Project details:

WHEN: Friday November 8th, approximate time 11am – 9pm

WHERE: 1227 Stone Church Rd E & 1224 Upper James St (Courtyard by Marriott Hamilton)

We are looking for the following roles at the listed compensation:

Director – $350

Camera Operator – $320

1st AD/Script Supervisor – $320

Social Media Video Content Producer – $320

Gaffer/Grip/PA – $280

PA/Trainee* – $250

PA/Trainee* – $250

*trainees will have the opportunity to shadow/train in various technical departments in addition to PA duties. When applying for those positions please include your top 2 preferences for departments.
